Can you hear the excitement surrounding our annual Legacy Place Society Family Camp at Camp Kindle?!! This event provides a rejuvenating and memorable experience for first responders, military personnel, and their families. Gates open tonight!
Held over Father’s Day weekend, June 13–15, 2025, the camp offers a variety of activities designed to foster connection and relaxation. Attendees will enjoy swimming, high ropes courses, a giant swing, climbing walls, hiking, crafts, karaoke, and even banana splits. The serene setting in the Rocky Mountain Foothills near Water Valley, Alberta, provides the perfect backdrop for these activities.
Thanks to the generous support of sponsors like the Justin Havre Real Estate Team with EXP Realty, The Kristie Charitable Foundation, Edmonton First Responder’s Rodeo Association, Battle for the Badges the cost has been reduced to $120 per participant. This fee covered the meals, accommodations, and all activities, making the camp accessible to many families. Breakfast with the horses will be Sunday morning!

What to Expect:

Every year, on the May long weekend, Legacy Place Society brings together first responders, emergency services, and military families for a special weekend at Camp Evergreen in Sundre, Alberta. This event is exclusively for our community, offering a chance to relax and enjoy simple pleasures.

Relax and Reconnect: No cooking, cleaning, or distractions. Enjoy delicious meals, campfires, and quality time with family and friends. Disconnect from phones and social media to engage in meaningful conversations.

Adventurous Activities: Take part in exciting outdoor activities like wall climbing, horseback riding, and the zipline. Challenge yourself and your loved ones to try something new!

Build Resilience: We bring in expert speakers to discuss building resiliency and legacies within first responder and military families. Topics include raising confident children, strengthening marriages, and building stronger relationships.

Youth Engagement: Kids and teens participate in fun activities that encourage confidence and reflection. They will also celebrate their achievements throughout the weekend.
