Exclusive first responders event – Concert in the Country
Join us for an unforgettable evening! Concert in the Country is open to all sworn and civilian members and families of CPS, CFD, EMS & RCMP. This exclusive event promises fun, entertainment, and camaraderie, all in the beautiful setting of Rocky View County on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 5 p.m.
Tickets are $25 and includes one drink and food ticket per admission. Children 12 and under are free. Limited tickets are available, reserve your for an evening of support, solidarity and celebration!
Event highlights:

The experienced team from The Davidson Institute and an addition of guest speakers will guide you through interactive sessions, sharing their expertise and personal experiences.
The online workshop series for first responders and veterans includes a range of topics like Operational Stress Injuries, EMDR, Trauma Yoga, HeartMath, Aromatherapy, DAVID DEVICE, Art Therapy, Advanced Self-Regulation Practices, Adventure Therapy, Cognitive Processing, Peer Support, Chronic Pain and OSIs, Cultural Competence, Sensory Deprivation Therapy, Mindfulness & Nature Therapy, Goal Setting, Creative Sculpting, Sleep & Trauma, Financial Wellness, Music Therapy, Psychiatry Q&A, Equine Therapy, Hobby Development, Nutrition, Cryotherapy, Kindness Neurobiology, Gottman Relationships, Intimacy, and Future Planning.

Exciting News and Event Update from Legacy Place Society!
We’re thrilled to announce an upcoming educational partnership with the City of Wetaskwin that aims to enhance the well-being of our First Responders. As part of this initiative, renowned speaker Robert White, a former Deputy Chief with the Flagstaff, Arizona Police Department, and a key facilitator with the Emotional Survival Team will be presenting on Emotional Survival for First Responders.
This engaging presentation focuses on providing behavioral strategies to inoculate First Responders against the loss of idealism and the development of inappropriate behavior patterns. Legacy Place Society is delighted to offer complimentary access to the Emotional Survival for Law Enforcement books on-site, ensuring participants have valuable resources at their fingertips.
Registration for the event is now open through Eventbrite, and we encourage First Responders, as well as their spouses, to attend this impactful session. The presentation aims to assist attendees in developing strategies for overall emotional survival, fostering resilience without succumbing to burnout or emotional isolation from friends and colleagues.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Robert White is a former Deputy Chief with the Flagstaff, Arizona Police Department where he served in multiple line and command positions over his 31-year tenure. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy 167th Session and remains actively involved in National Academy Associates continuing educational development and with the Arizona Chiefs of Police Association.
He holds both Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Northern Arizona University. He is also a graduate of the Southwest Command College and the Arizona Regional Policing Institute. He has extensive experience instructing both law enforcement training sessions and at the University level in the area of management principles and customer service.
White is a Leadership Development Instructor for the International Association of Chiefs of Police. In addition to his law enforcement experience, he is a certified Fire Fighter. He has instructed on the topic of Emotional Survival for Law Enforcement and is an instructor on this topic with E-S Press, Inc. He resides in Flagstaff, Arizona
