Supporting the Mental Health of First Responders and Their Families: Legacy Place Society’s Impact in 2021
At Legacy Place Society, we enhance the lives of families and individuals in law enforcement, emergency services, 911 dispatch, and military personnel. We provide confidential, empathetic support, easy access to resources, and leverage collaborative networks.
Our mission is clear: Raise Awareness, End the Stigma, and Inspire Systemic Change in mental health. Every day, we ask ourselves, How can we better support the people we serve?
Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, we grew stronger in 2021. We made sure to address the needs and inquiries of those who reached out to us.
Key Highlights of 2021:
- Virtual Events & Initiatives: Your support fueled conversations on vital topics like peer support, grief, vicarious trauma, emotional wellness, addiction, depression, anxiety, and suicide awareness.
- Help Phone Line Support: Your donations kept our confidential phone line running, connecting individuals with professional and peer support.
- Legacy Place Houses: In 2021, our three Legacy Place Houses saw a record 2,700+ nightly stays for first responders and their families.
- Tax Receipts for Donations: We mailed 2021 tax receipts in late January 2022. If you haven’t received yours, please email us at info@legacyplacesociety.com, and we’ll send it again.
We remain committed to supporting first responders, their families, and military personnel with compassion. We value your ongoing support, which helps us continue our mission of raising mental health awareness.
Thank you for standing with us. Together, we ensure those who serve and protect never face their struggles alone.
