Grab your boots and bring the whole family—the First Watch Rodeo is back, and it’s more than just a wild ride. Hosted in the heart of Alberta, this one-of-a-kind First Responder Rodeo brings together Fire, EMS, Police, and Military personnel for a day of adrenaline, unity, and community impact.
What Is the First Watch Rodeo?
Founded in 2017, the First Watch Rodeo (formerly known as the Edmonton First Responders Rodeo) was built on a shared vision: to create a family-friendly rodeo where frontline heroes could showcase their skills, bond beyond the badge, and raise critical funds for mental health and child advocacy organizations. Since its inaugural ride in 2018, the event has become a staple in Alberta’s rodeo calendar, blending cowboy tradition with community compassion.
Competing for a Cause
This isn’t just about eight seconds on a bull—it’s about making real change.
Proceeds from the rodeo directly support:

Legacy Place Society, providing confidential housing, peer support, and mental health education for Alberta’s First Responders, Veterans, and Military families.

The Zebra Child & Youth Advocacy Centre, offering a path to justice and healing for children and youth affected by abuse and trauma.
By attending or sponsoring the event, you’re helping write two big, meaningful cheques for these vital causes—every boot stomp and barrel run makes a difference.
