Peer Support: Strengthening Connections
Peer support creates a safe, supportive relationship where individuals with shared experiences can provide emotional and social support. Whether formal or informal, peer support fosters confidential conversations and resource-sharing, offering significant benefits to individuals and families.

- Empowers individuals to access resources and build resilience.
- Provides hope, encouragement, and a sense of community beyond programs like Employee Assistance.
Our Approach
Legacy Place Society aims to provide immediate crisis intervention, referrals, and ongoing support for first responders and their families.
Volunteer Support Areas:
- Marriage and parenting challenges.
- Grief and spiritual wellness.
- Addiction recovery.
- Single parenting and special needs children.
- Critical incident stress management and post-traumatic stress recovery.

Confidentiality is strictly maintained except in cases involving:
- Threats or attempts of suicide.
- Risk or harm to others.
- Evidence of abuse or neglect.
- Serious self-harm.
If confidentiality must be breached, the individual will be informed, and 911 services will be contacted.

Stand-Up Paddling Aqua Therapy
Dates to be announced. A unique peer support initiative where first responders, military personnel, and a family member can experience the therapeutic benefits of aqua therapy. Special thanks to Aquabatics Calgary for their collaboration.
Annual First Responder and Military Personnel Family Camp
A cost-shared weekend retreat designed for families to step away from daily stressors and reconnect. Enjoy activities like horseback riding, wall climbing, archery, canoeing, and campfires in an inclusive setting.
