On September 21, 2018 Legacy Place Society and the Calgary Police Service Peer Support Team have collaborated together in bringing the Mindfulness Based Resilience Training Workshop to Calgary. Location to be announced but will be in North area of Calgary. Registration opens about 7:20 am and please be ready in place by 7:55 am for opening comments. Workshop should be complete by 4:00 pm.

Instructor Richard Goerling has served in civilian law enforcement for over twenty years. He currently serves as a lieutenant at a police agency in Oregon and has extensive experience in patrol operations and criminal investigations. Through his education and experience, he has developed a training specialization in first responder resiliency and human performance (operations and leadership).
Over the last decade, Richard has spearheaded the introduction of mindfulness training into policing in the United States as part of a larger cultural transformation toward a compassionate, skillful and resilient warrior ethos.

He will be speaking at the First Responder Suicide Awareness Conference the day before at Centre Street Church and the Mindfulness Based Resilience Training Workshop is a separate stand along workshop at a different location.
