SUMMARY:The Frontline Invitational Charity Golf Tournament
DESCRIPTION:The Frontline Invitational Charity Golf Tournament\nThe 1st Annual Frontline Invitational Charity Golf Tournament was created with one goal in mind: to rally behind those who spend their careers running toward crisis while carrying the unseen weight of trauma\, loss\, and stress. \nHosted by the Nova Chemicals Emergency Services Team\, this event brings together frontline workers\, civilians\, and community partners to support the mental wellness and resilience of those who serve — and the families who stand with them. \nTaking place on September 5\, 2025\, at the Sylvan Lake Golf & Country Club\, this 4- person scramble tournament blends community\, camaraderie\, and purpose. It’s a chance to connect beyond the uniform and to play\, laugh\, and raise critical funds that will make a lasting impact. \nProceeds from the tournament benefit Legacy Place Society and Project All In\, two Alberta-based non-profits working directly with First Responders\, Military\, and Frontline Professionals across the province. \nRead about our Sponsorship Opportunities \nRegister Today!

SUMMARY:CIPSRT: Exploring Animal-Assisted Therapy for Public Safety Personnel
DESCRIPTION:Exploring Animal-Assisted Therapy for Public Safety Personnel\nDate/time: Thursday\, January 29\, 2026.\n9:00 am PST\, 11:00am CST (Regina)\, 12:00 pm EST \nLocation: Zoom \n\n\n\n\n\n\nPublic safety personnel (PSP) routinely encounter high stress\, trauma exposure\, and occupational pressures that can negatively affect mental health and wellbeing. Traditional support services (e.g.\, clinical services\, exercise\, peer support) play an important role\, but innovative approaches like animal-assisted therapy are gaining attention for their potential to support stress management and emotional regulation. \nThis webinar will explore how canine-assisted interventions (CAIs) are experienced by first responders in workplace contexts\, and how these programs may contribute to psychological relief\, improved mood\, and overall wellbeing. The session draws on insights from research in the field\, as well as lived experiences within law enforcement settings. \nIn this webinar we will: \n\nDescribe the unique stressors PSP face and how these impact wellbeing.\nExplore how canine-assisted therapy functions as a mental health and wellbeing resource in the workplace.\nDiscuss the effects of CAI on PSP stress\, mood\, and wellbeing.\nHighlight considerations for implementing CAI programs within PSP organizations.
