All Fords Classic Car Show August 17, 2019 at Richmond Community Centre – in support of Legacy Place Society and RESET Society of Calgary

Message from Jim Jenkins – Calgary Thunderbird Club

Each year the Calgary Thunderbird Club holds an All Fords classic car show and shine to celebrate summer and raise money for local charities and we are happy to announce we will again be holding the show at the Richmond Community center on Saturday August 17th.   The show runs from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM and is free for the public.  We encourage you to come out and see all types of new and old Ford models throughout the last 100 years including Model T’s, Meteors, Mercurys, Fairlanes, Thunderbirds, Mustangs, Lincolns, Fiestas and trucks.

The day is basically like a big summer get together with approximately 100 cars to view, stories about the different vehicles, fun activities like the Ford trivia challenge, a few vendors (get a massage from Coastal Bliss), a silent auction, DJ music and awards for the best vehicles.  Parking is free and the 18th Calgary (Richmond) Scout Troup will be on hand selling barbequed hot dogs and hamburgers to raise money for their scouting adventures.

This year we are raising money for two very worthy causes.

RESET Society of Calgary is a registered non-profit charity which provides client driven, long-term programming and support for women (16 and above) who have experienced sexual exploitation and/or sex trafficking. https://resetcalgary.ca/

Legacy Place supports local Peace Officers, Fire Fighters, Emergency Medical Services, 911 Dispatch and Military Personnel who face complicated and devastating situations on the work front and then find themselves working hard to find a balanced life perspective on the home front. http://legacyplacesociety.com/
